Octopus Resort is located 27 nautical miles from the Fijian mainland, on Waya Island, the largest of the islands in the Yasawa island group. The boat transfer takes just over 1 hour. Departing Naisoso Marina at 8.30-9am each day and then departs the island to make the return trip back to the mainland from Octopus at approx 10 - 10.30am. The resort boat also has starlink wifi onboard for your convenience.

The resorts own transfer vessel Aftershock, makes a return trip daily to the island, the one way Adult Fare is $85 USD and for a child 4-15 years its $55 USD, children under 4 years are free.

The transfers are scheduled to meet many of the flights serving Nadi Airport, allowing the maximum time possible on the island. Air-conditioned minibus transport from the airport or from local hotels is included in the transfer cost.

From 1st April 2026 Adult fare is $94 USD and child fare is $70 ( this includes access to our guests lounge at Naisoso Marina) 

The resort boat changes to our high speed vessel Finnoki Kai, and there will be two daily services :

For the 1st daily service the boat leaves Naisoso Marina (a few miles from the Airport in Nadi) at 9 am and then departs the island to make the return trip back to the mainland from Octopus at approx 10.30 am. 

There is also an afternoon service offered that departs Naisoso Marina at 2.30 pm taking just over 1 hour and departs Octopus at 4 pm reaching the mainland at 5-5.30pm each day.

The journeys take just over one hour each way ,and are scheduled to meet many of the flights serving Nadi Airport, allowing the maximum time possible on the island. Air-conditioned minibus transport from the airport or from local hotels is included in the transfer cost.

For a charter Aftershock or Waya Flyer our other vessels can leave as required to meet specific flight times, subject to arriving to the resort or mainland before Dark.
